British Columbia Mountains

British Columbia is fortunate enough to be home to both coastal ecosystem, but also the Great Bear Rainforest. This is a remote area temperate rainforest, and is one of the largest remaining untouched temperate rainforests in the world. It is critical to a diverse range of species, such as salmon that use many of the fresh water rivers, creeks, and lakes as spawning grounds, to the black bears which hunt, live, and breed within this vast ecosystem.
